Can You Kill A Secret by Ling Tosite Sigure tabs by Yosukun from Germany Song: Can you kill a secret? Artist: Ling Tosite Sigure Album: Still a sigure virgin? Ling Tosite Sigure (Rin Toshite Shigure) is a alternative rock band from Saitama, Japan. It also has some hardcore influences. The three members play instruments on a very advanced level. Characteristics of their music are their high voices and screams. The guitarist Toru "TK" Kitajima likes to mess around with a whole bunch of effect pedals and stuff. He usually uses flanger, fuzz, delay and sometimes distortion pedals. Also some effects that are similar to pitch shifters of whammy pedals, but they have their own unique sound, so I don't know how to name them. NOTE: This may not be 100% accurate how TK plays the song. It is quite hard to find out every single note, because of all the effects and moreover, this song contains hell lot of feedback. I did my best and it definitely sounds right. At first I tried to play this song in half-step down tuning. I play a lot of Sigure's songs since they are one of my favorite bands and I never came across a song by them which was played in standard. It doesn't matter how it is played in the studio version, it still can be played correctly in standard tuning the way I wrote it down here. ---------- Standard Tuning EADGBe INTRO/VERSE ------------------------------------| -9--9-----/-8----8-8----8-8-8------o| -x--x-----/-x----x-x----x-x-x-------| x4 -10-10---6/-8----8-8----8-8-86-----| -8--8----4/-6----6-6----6-6-64----o| ------------------------------------| VERSE 1 no guitar until 0:17, then . . . . . . . . --------------------------|---------------------------| ---11--11---------11--11--|---10--10---------10--10---| ---8---8----------8---8---|---8---8----------8---8----| ---10--10---------10--10--|---10--10---------10--10---| ---8---8----------8---8---|---8---8----------8---8----| --------------------------|---------------------------| INTERLUDE (I recommend hybrid picking here) 0:22 ------------------------------------------------------------------| ---------9-----------13------------15------------16-----------18--| ------------------------------------------------------------------| -----10---------13-------------15------------17-----------18------| x2 --8--------11-------------13------------15------------16----------| ------------------------------------------------------------------| VERSE 2 0:28 GUITAR 1 -----------------------------------------------| -----------------------------------------------| -----------------------------------------------| ---------10-x-x------------------10-x-x--------| x4 ---8-x-x--------10-x-------8-x-x---------10-x--| -----------------------------------------------| GUITAR 2 (at first 2 beats without guitar 2) . . . . . . . . --------------------------|---------------------------| ---11--11---------11--11--|---10--10---------10--10---| ---8---8----------8---8---|---8---8----------8---8----| ---10--10---------10--10--|---10--10---------10--10---| ---8---8----------8---8---|---8---8----------8---8----| --------------------------|---------------------------| PRECHORUS 0:39 tremolo picking until 0:51 (may seem strange, but I think it is played tremolo; the harmonics are played by the bass) ---6\-------------------------------| ---9\-------------------------------| ---10\------------------------------| -------------------------------------| -------------------------------------| -------------------------------------| INTERLUDE 2 -------------------------------------| -------------------8-8--------9--9---| -------------------x-x----8-8-x--x---| -------------------8-8----8-8-10-10--|x3, the 4th time: -3-3---/8-9-9----8-6-6----6-6-8--8---| -1-1---/6-7-7----6-------------------| ----------------------------------(8)~~------| -------------------8-8--------9----9~~~------| -------------------x-x----8-8-x----8~~~------| -------------------8-8----8-8-10---8~~~------|let the last chord ring, put -3-3---/8-9-9----8-6-6----6-6-8----8~~~------|a lot of feedback on and hold -1-1---/6-7-7----6---------------------------|it during the verse until 1:13 no guitar except chord with feedback in rest of the VERSE 2 INTERLUDE 3 1:14 -------------------------------------| -------------------8-8--------9--9---| -------------------x-x----8-8-x--x---| -------------------8-8----8-8-10-10--| ONCE!!
