Love Story (album) by Lloyd Cole #----------------------------------PLEASE NOTE---------------------------------# #This file is the author's own work and represents their interpretation of the # #song. You may only use this file for private study, scholarship, or research. # #------------------------------------------------------------------------------## From: [email protected] (William Vaughan) Subject: CRDs to Lloyd Cole's Love Story (all) Date: 15 Dec 1995 19:02:09 GMT Here are all the tracks to Lloyd Coles most recent album, Love Story. Enjoy Trigger Happy by Lloyd Cole From Love Story This one is really simple as soon as you get the fingerpicking pattern down, which isn't too hard. Sometimes in the verse, Lloyd strums the Asus4 (or plucks it with his fingers) instead of doing the picking pattern. Music theory people will notice the major in the verse and a turn to the minor in the chorus -enjoy. Capo on 2nd fret *Intro* Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4 *Verse 1* Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B i love your head Asus4 Dsus2 i love the way you hold your head Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4 because you're young and you know it Dsus2 Dsus2/C# because you're young Dsus2/B Asus4 Dsus2 there ain't nothing you can't do Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B because you know Asus4 Dsus2 there ain't nothing you can't do Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4 *Verse 2 (same as 1st)* i love your head i love the way you hold your head because you know there is no connection between old and what's new Dsus2/F Dsus2/Bb and there ain't nothing you can't do *Chorus* Dsus2/C Dsus2/G oh, nothing at all Dsus2/F Dsus2/C and you know that gun is loaded, Dsus2/G sure you do. Love Ruins Everything Capo 4th fret This one is a little tricky to get the timing right - if you play along with the album it should come quickly. If tabbed out the verse and prechorus as I play it and it sounds pretty good. The Spanish like guitar part in front I haven't tabbed out, but if you mess around with it, its not hard. I like to play this one with my fingers and pluck the strings instead of using a pick also - allows for greater control over the strings. chords not tabbed D xx0232 C x32010 Dm xx0231 Dsus2 xx0230 C/B x22010 D5 xx023x Am x02210 Intro and verse riff D Bm (strum) Em7 (strum) D* -----2---5---2--------------------0------------2--0----0------| -----3---3---3-----3--------------3------------3--3--3-3------| -------------------4--------------0------------0--0--2-0------| -0--------------------------------2------------0-----0-0------| -------------------2--------------2---------------------------| ----------------------------------0---------------------------| *verse 1* D Bm hey, hey, hey, Em7 look at me now, D* i'm unrecognizable. Unhappy Song This song is a straight bass note strum pattern after the first intro - the chords to the chorus are basically the same as the verse, except played in a different position - I don't know if this is how Lloyd does it on the record, but it sounds best to me - if it doesn't to you, try the verse chords over the chorus - both sound pretty close.
