Notes: This was written on the 3 Snakes Fall Tour, originating as an instrumental jam on
in Kansas City. Throughout October and into November it was played as an intro to My
Song, Thorn In My Pride and Bring On, Bring On. It was recorded at Sound Of Music
in Richmond, VA on 11/21/96 and debuted with lyrics on 11/23/96 in Charlotte. The studio
is played with acoustic guitars, similar to the arrangement that the band played at The
on 2/22/97.
It was often played live on the Europe 97' and Furthur Tours and appeared on early
cassettes of Band, but did not appear on the version of the album submitted to their record
at the time. Like the other Sound Of Music recordings, the studio recording of Spider In
Sugar Bowl Blues does not circulate in trading circles.
