Perfect Couple (ver 2) by Fozzey And Vanc

Hey guys, this is my first post on here, ever! I really like the original of this piece,
but I adapted it to
be sung instead of spoken. I messed up using the 'Find & Replace' thing in the tab
writer, so a capital
letter represents a Major chord and a lower-case later represents a minor chord. Also, I
where I've tabbed
A into a C# could potentially be B into C#, you'll have to work that one out yourself,
both (I feel) work,
but B C# D is the way it's played by another group, I play it A C# D. Up to you :)
Feel free to tell me if you think anything sounds wrong, but be nice about it, yeah?
Umm, if you want it easier then you'll have to use the transposer and work it out
yourself, sorry... If there
are any improvements feel free to put them in the comments, if not, enjoy playing this
awesome song!
Have fun!

F#
They were the perfect couple
Em
They'd always lock lips
F# D
He gave her his heart, and said "Don't drop this"
A C# D (Hold)
She looked him in the eye, and said I promise you

I'll replace it with mine and it's not gonna move

F# Em
He'd always ditch his friends, he put their love first
F# D
But as he found out, that's when love hurts
A C# D (Hold)
She wasn't faithful, always out creepin' round

And she was never really there whenever he'd be down

Small break
F# Em F# D A C# D

F# Em
But he never caught on he was caught up
F# D
Cause growin' up, he was never really taught love
A C# D (Hold)
His old man always did his mum the wrong way

And whenever they'd fight, he'd let a song play

F# Em
So he told himself "Fuck it I'll be different"
F# D
Little did he know by doin' that, he'd be distant
A C# D (Hold)
Cause his girl was always goin' out and gettin' high

But he loved her so much that he let it slide

F# Em
He didn't understand why she would always make it hard
F# D
But he never spoke up, so they could make it last
A C# D (Hold)
And over time you could see it start to take a toll

It's like she got a kick out of tryna break his soul

F# Em
But still he soldiered on puttin' on that brave face
F# D
Until the night he saw her gettin' with his best mate
A C#
His stomach dropped, as his chest started cavin' in
D
She gave his mate the same looks that she gave to him

(This is a high tension section, try to play slightly harder here, and the strumming
should build tension)
F# Em
He didn't say a word he just turned around
F# D
Cause every bridge they'ed ever built, she just burnt em down
A C
He sent a subtle text, not knowing what's coming next
D (Hold)
All he thought about was tyin that rope round his neck

F# Em
He sat in his room talkin to his walls like
F# D
"No-one will miss me I'm sure that they will be alright.
A C#
I mean look at me, I can't even find hope"
D
Said just before he stepped off and tied the rope

(Long pause, four bars if possible, but go by feel on this one. When you come back in
you should use single
down strums for this section, it's a sad, heart-breaking part, make it feel like it.)

F# Em
An hour passes no-body knows that he's gone
F# D
He's tensed up all white with a note in his palm
A C#
His girlfriend walks in and drops to the floor
D
But the note in his hand can not be ignored

F# Em
Tears runnin' down her face and her make up
F# D
The first three words she read were "I hate love"
A C# D (Hold)
I saw everything I saw the look in your eye

But in a way it's alright cause we're born to die

F# Em
Tell mum and dad that I'm sorry that it came to this
F# D
But I can't go on because I hate this shit
A C# D (Hold)
I hate the way you can do everything you please

And deep down you know I gave you everything you need

F# Em
All the memories we made start to fade to black
F# D
And I know just like you I can't take this back
A C# D (Hold)
I also wrote you a song it's in your tape deck

And when we fucked I just wished it was safe sex

F# Em
Cause I saw the positive on the stick you hid
F# D
But for all I know the kid could be his
A C# D (Hold)
So don't try and say I'm the one that fucked up

And I know your hearts breaking and it sucks huh

(I play this part differently almost every time, you'll have to figure out what you
think suits best here)
F# Em
This is it though I'm runnin' out of time to write
F# D
But I'm goin' cause I felt like the time was right
A C#
And you should know that my very last thought was you
D (Hold)
And there's pictures on my bed that I was sortin' through

F# Em
I just wish when it came to us you would try
F# D
But this is it baby, Goodbye
