Hello UT Users, I've had a lot of problems with tabs on this site, many are only
40% accurate at best,
The tabs here and other places on the internet for this song In Your Perfect world are
NOWHERE near right
and I wanted to post what I transcribed. People usually get the Tuning wrong on this
song because of what
the official books say to use. This is simply not true. If you ever watch the band play
this song live
they use the same tuning as they do with any of their other songs Which is E standard
with a drop D. What
Confuses people is the 12 string guitar used, where the smaller string on each of the 6
rows is tuned a
half step flat, so the Combined notes of the Two sound like a chord of the following
notes. D - A - F - C - G - D.
Actually the tuning used on a 12 string is D-db A-ab D-db G-gb B-bb E-eb. Reguardless
if they sometimes
play with a different tuning in other videos the live version is transcribed into Drop D
so they don't
have to constantly switch instruments I have found this version is actually near 80% +
accurate to the
Studio version with only minor discrepancies. And it is much easier to play or to
mix in with material that

Alright here there are VERY minor differences it is very close to exactly what he plays
although I will not transcribe the guitar effects in the background it is really simple
but you need the right FX pedal if you mess around a little you'll figure it out fine.

The Song then goes to the bridge with the lead
in the background and then to the chorus for the finale!

My only regrets are two-fold. One That I did not transcribe this
100% I spent maybe 10 minutes learning the actual guitar. And two
that I did not complete this guide 100% and instead put repeat this
part etc. However I only spent 10 minutes transcribing this but 2+ hours
writing this guide and spell checking it, also error checking it to see
if it played like how I sorted it out to be. Oh well you get what you pay
for I guess. This transcription is close enough so that if you were to cover
this song live at a wedding or gig no-one but the utmost hardcore fan would
be able to tell you are playing it slightly different. The song is not that
known even to most firehouse fans so the chances that would happen are highly
unlikely. I enjoy this song and composition a lot the lyrics are interesting
and the guitar work is quite complicated to play while singing if you intend
to do so. If you find a better sounding way to do some of the progressions
please feel free to email me or post a copy of this Tab with the updates.
