Far And Wide by Roadside Graves

Artist: Roadside Graves
Song: Far and Wide
Album:

Tuning: Standard

Chords: A D A - F#m E A

There is a second guitar, an acoustic that plays the lead. It appears as though it is
capoed on the second fret using the chords:

G C G - Em D G

Pretty simple song, it just repeats over and over. There are a lot of simple little
leads, that I plan on adding later, but I usually never do. The chord changes aren't in the
exact spot, but they are close, and it's a super simple rhythm.

Intro: A

A D A F#m E A 2x

Verse:

A D A
Take the dirt from a hollow tree
F#m E A
The eyes of the branch, and the tears of the leaf
A D A
Build you a path where the sun don't shine
F#m E A
Farther from the far and wide

Chorus:

A D A
Cross the waves beneath the sky
F#m E A
Lay me down in the far and wide
A D A
Know that I'll be satisfied
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide

A D A
Give me a girl with strong knees
F#m E A
Tie me a rope to the trunk of a tree
A D A
Mountains will moan, and stones will slide
F#m E A
Farther from the far and wide

Chorus:

A D A
Cross the waves beneath the sky
F#m E A
Lay me down in the far and wide
A D A
Know that I'll be satisfied
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide

A D A
Tracks from the train run North and South
F#m E A
Cut through the hate of my parents house
A D A
Sister she cried for the very last time
F# E A
I swear I'll take her far and wide

Chorus:

A D A
Cross the waves beneath the sky
F#m E A
Lay me down in the far and wide
A D A
Know that I'll be satisfied
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide

A D A
Apples gonna' fall with snakes inside
F#m E A
Kiss the rail and catch a ride
A D A
He'll get his before you die
F#m E A
Drag you down to the far and wide

Chorus:

A D A
Cross the waves beneath the sky
F#m E A
Lay me down in the far and wide
A D A
Know that I'll be satisfied
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide

(Here is a little bridge)

A D A
Please oh please let my soul be free
F#m E A
And spread my ashes across the sea
A D A
Take your name off of my name
F#m E A
So you can marry again

A D A
Cross the waves beneath the sky
F#m E A
Lay me down in the far and wide
A D A
Know that I'll be satisfied
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide
F#m E A
Farther out and far and wide
F#m E (hold)
Farther out and far
    A
and wide

There it is, close enough for the women I date.
